Who Cares.........

Who cares is a question we all have asked ourselves at some point in our lives.

Who cares that I am hurting today?
Who cares that my finances are low?
Who cares that my husband/wife is acting up?
Who cares that the children are fighting with each other all day?
Who cares that my family members have betrayed me?
Who cares that my so-called friends are just that...so-called?
Who cares that I feel like crawling under a rock?
Who cares that I dislike my job?
Who cares that I am just plain tired?
Who cares that I am so very confused?
Who cares that my spirit has been broken?
Who cares that I don't have any hope anymore?

I could go on, and on with the who cares, but think about it, God never said that our lives would be easy. There will always be trials and tribulations. Just know that there is someone who cares....JESUS!!!! He said that he will never leave you, nor forsake you. So when you get in that who cares mood stop and remember that there is someone who cares, and all you have to do is call on him. God cares, and he wants to help, but you have to seek him first.

Thankful

As Thanksgiving is approaching us, I just wanted to first, wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and second to remind you to always be thankful for everything you have whether they’re big or small. Ask yourself this question…WHAT AM I TRULY THANKFUL FOR?

I asked myself this same question, and of course I started running off all those things that are so obvious; but what about those little things that I can’t see or feel? What about the many blessings God keeps bestowing upon me that I just think comes naturally. What am I talking about you may be asking…well let’s see…we take for granted that we will just open our eyes in the morning, and be able to function the way we always did. We take for granted that the grace and mercy God gives us is always going to be there. Most of all we take our family and friends for granted. Are we truly thankful for God waking us up and keeping us throughout the day? Are we thankful for his grace and his mercy? Are we thankful for the family and friends he allows us to have? Are we thankful for the things that we can’t see; but he protects us from? Think about it, and as you travel throughout this day, and next week, start to recognize the little things you should be thankful for. We all can rattle off the big things we are thankful for…reverse your mind, and think about the small things…for they are just as important, and God needs to hear and know that you are thankful for them.

Shattered

October 29, 2008

When something is shattered it’s no longer whole. It becomes a lot of pieces. It demolishes. It crumbles.

Have you ever dropped a glass, and it becomes just fragments, broken pieces all over the place. Your first reaction is disbelief; you can’t believe that that just happened. If it’s a valuable piece of glass we immediately pick up the pieces and try to glue it back together again.

Some of us are walking around with shattered dreams. Either yourself or someone has taken your dreams and shattered them into pieces. You still have the pieces and every now and again you pick up a piece of that shattered dream, and look at it…why, because it’s still whole within you. I urge you to pick up all those pieces of that dream and put them back together again. God is waiting to awaken that dream in you again, but you have to take that first step of believing that through God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, and Mark 10:27). It’s your dream, make it a reality. People lives may be depended upon your dream don’t fail them or yourself.

Understanding

September 30, 2008 (76) (Understanding)

To have an understanding of something is to comprehend it. To believe it is what it is. You have a clear viewpoint of what the subject matter is.

When we are given instructions to do something usually the last questioned asked by the instructor is…Do you understand? If we have a clear view of what we are to do we say, “yes”. If that view isn’t so clear we should say, “no”, and seek further understanding.

As you all know, I am a Life Coach, and part of my job requires me to fully understand where my clients want to go, and what their needs are. So during our session, I routinely say to them…what I hear you saying to me is such, and such, and such. Now if that’s not what they are saying then I am not understanding, which means I can’t help them move forward with that situation. If they can’t move forward they’ll continue to stay in a state of confusing. So I must continue to seek an understanding of what they really need in order to help them move forward.

Here is where some of us are right now in our lives. We don’t know which direction we need or want to go in, but we also don't want to seek an understanding as to why we don't know. So we stay confused, because we become comfortable with it. God wants you to understand what your purpose is. However, in order to understand that purpose you have to know who you are. I CHALLENGE YOU TO READ ALL OF PROVERBS (a chapter a day). The book of Proverbs is full of ways to get the ability to live life skillfully so that you can obtain the understanding you need to get out of your state of confusing.

Hide

September 11, 2008 (75) (Hide)

When we think of the word hide we usually think of keeping something in secrete. We conceal it so no one can see it; or get to it. We cover it up.

Remember when you were a little child and you played hide and seek? The object of the game was to hide from the person who was the seeker. However, after that person found you, you were shocked, surprised, amazed, because you just knew you had the perfect hiding spot. But what happened…you were exposed!!!

Each of us has something that we think we are hiding. It could be hurt, shame, jealously, guilt, etc. Whatever it is, if you just stop and seek out the source of what you are hiding and expose it you will be healed. Ask God to search your heart, and if there is anything there that needs to be fixed, removed, etc., ask him to expose it to you. Seek God so that you won’t have to hide anymore.

Comfortable/Uncomfortable

August 25, 2008 (74) (Comfortable/Uncomfortable)

When you’re comfortable, you feel relaxed in your body and mind. You’re not worried about anything. There’s no pain. You could stay in that place forever. However when you’re uncomfortable you can’t relax, and sometimes there is a lot of pain. Most of the time you can’t wait to get out of that place of being uncomfortable.

I started a new fitness program last week and the pain I felt after the second class was very uncomfortable. Those of you who have ever started a new program know what I mean. I awaken muscles I didn’t know existed. All I knew was that I wanted to get back to that comfortable place within my body. I didn’t like being uncomfortable with every move I made because it hurt so badly. However, I knew that if I stayed with the program the pain of being uncomfortable would pass, and I would enjoy being comfortable again. I just had to get over that first step.

Some of us are very comfortable within our lives, our careers, etc. But deep down within our mind, body, and spirit we know that there is more for us to do; but because we don’t’ want to feel uncomfortable we won’t move. Being comfortable is what we all enjoy. Being uncomfortable is what we are afraid of. However, in order to do those things God has placed in us we have to be uncomfortable for a moment.

QUESTIONS:
How comfortable are you?
Are you willing to be uncomfortable for a moment?

PURPOSE

August 18, 2008 (73) (Purpose/Clock)

Good evening,

We all know the purpose of the clock. It was created to keep time. It let's us know how much time we have to do whatever it is we need to do. When we notice that the clock has slowed down, or stopped we either replace the batteries or simply plug it back in and reset it to catch up to the correct time. We put it back on track.

We often get off track or lose sight of what our purpose is; but just like the clock we sometimes need help to fulfill our purpose. Some of us may know our purpose and some of us may not, however, if we plug into God all things will eventually be revealed to us. Remember time waits for no one, so plug in, reset your clock, and go after your purpose today.

QUESTION?
Have your clock stopped? Will you reset it?
